terms & conditions

  • All paint & anode products are to be pre-ordered at least 14 days prior to work commencing.
  • You cannot bring and use your own pressure washer to wash your pontoons; you can hire our pressure washer (please see price above).
  • Balance of slipping will be due within 7 days of completion of slip and receiving of invoice.
  • Slipping will commence once your acceptance of agreement has been acknowledged & sent back. PLEASE ensure you read all information carefully.
  • There will be no sleeping on your houseboat while the vessel is up on the slipway.
  • Our recommended trades people are listed below. Please ensure you contact all trades and make arrangement in advance as it is hard to secure trades at short notice. Please DO NOT book any trades in to work on your houseboat on the day it goes up, as we cannot guarantee how long it will take to bring the vessel up.  
  • Please note that these are recommendations only. If you book one of our recommended trades any dealings, you have with them is strictly between yourself & the trade you have engaged. Morgan Slipway & FHMS will take no responsibility for any work done by these trades nor that of any work carried out by the owner. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the correct procedures are carried out – especially work on pontoons. If work is done on pontoons, you 
  • MUST ensure you pressure test prior to going back in the water. We will take NO responsibility if your boat starts to take on water after being on our slipway. 
  • Your Agreement for Slippage & Vessel Dimensions forms need to be filled in and returned to us no later than 4 weeks prior to your houseboat going up onto the slipway. If we do not receive any requested information for vessel – (width, pontoon size, pontoon draw, etc) we reserve the right to cancel the slippage of the vessel. It is imperative that we have correct information. If information is not received, & we are told to bring vessel up by owner, we will require a declaration form to be signed prior to slippage stating that we have advised of the risks of non-compliance of information & therefore cannot guarantee slipping success. 
  • There is scrap bins located around the slipway, please ensure that your scrap steel is put into the scrap bins, no other materials is allowed in the scrap bins. There is an ordinary rubbish bin located on the side of the slipway. It is essential that the slipway is left in a tidy & clean matter as you found it. Failure to tidy up after your slippage in using the correct bins etc will incur fees & charges.
  • We understand that you may bring your dog with you when your houseboat is slipped. Please make sure that you tidy up after it especially it’s poo. Failure to do this will incur a fee. Please be aware of where your pet is always and don’t let it just wonder around the property. 
  • Morgan slipway & FHMS have no control over the weather while your boat is up on the slip, any extra days required due to inclement weather will be subject to normal slip charges.

Welders:
Please note, welders may require part payments up front to cover a portion of costs before work is done.
If you require temporary mooring for your boat leading into before & after slippage, this is available so please ask management for cost for this.

If you do require an emergency welder but are not sure until vessel is out of water, please make sure you have touched base with them first to advise that you may need them & find out all costings & their terms beforehand.
